Large-Scale Reforestation: New Developments and Strategic Equipment
Last week, between work sessions on the computer, we made a few field visits. It’s always good to see firsthand where we stand on the ground.
A few memorable images:
Fields that have recently been plowed in preparation for new tree plantings;
the signing of new agreements with local communities, an initiative led by Jurgen HEYTENS:
During that same week, we also took delivery of two tractors to support our reforestation program covering 2,500 hectares, scheduled for 2026 and part of 2027.
Step by step, we are moving forward with the implementation of our reforestation program, with the goal of creating a lasting impact in these regions.
It may seem simple on the surface, but the reality in the DRC presents many challenges. Everything takes three times as much effort to accomplish. But when we succeed, the sense of satisfaction is all the greater.
